In the Fall 2025, I was in a cohort for completing the Digital Marketing Bootcamp through Jelly Academy. This was an opportunity made available through public funding for taking courses and boosting skills in Digital Marketing.
I started this course with some knowledge through some basic social media management, managing a YouTube channel (outside of water resources), and some other activities that gave me some background in digital marketing. However, I had never had any formal training, and I knew I sorely needed some in order to succeed with marketing for both Heron and a side venture called Scouti. So I was happy to enroll in this course to build out my knowledge, despite the usual complaints of being too busy for everything already.
The course does a great job of delivering its content through lecture videos, quizzes, and a pile of resources to continue learning. The modules around Google Analytics, advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, and resources for creating social media posts were the most helpful for me. I’ve considered much of this to be less important for a b2b company like Heron where the personal and professional relationships are often much more important for connecting with clients, but in a b2c company like Scouti they are paramount.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to have taken this workshop and rounded out my knowledge in the domain of digital marketing. The coming months will involve my undertaking of a comprehensive strategy for both Heron and Scouti, and helping the launch of the b2c company in particular. I would recommend this course for anyone looking to fill in their digital marketing knowledge, and a great launch point for anyone looking to start a career in digital marketing.
