For some years now, we have offered training courses focused on the hydrologic modelling framework Raven in a mix of in-person and virtually delivered courses. These have been a great way to connect with new and experienced Raven users, especially during the last few years as we’ve setup custom courses for organizations to help them get the specific Raven training they needed.
However, we heard from many people who were not able to make the in-person training or that the virtual training dates did not align with their organization. In response, we’ve developed the online course catalogue, where Raven users can enroll in the online courses and take them at their leisure. We currently have a course on Magpie workflows for developing Raven models that is free right now. We have also launched an introductory Raven training course, which covers all of the topics you would expect in our in-person introductory course.
Be sure to check out the course and enroll in the Raven training course if you are a beginner Raven user, or looking to deepen your knowledge! You can also find a sample tutorial video (used in the course) that discusses how to generate custom outputs in Raven, which gives you a sense of how the tutorials are structured.
We also plan to expand this course library with topics such as water management optimization and netCDF handling, so if there is a particular topic of interest for a future course, let us know and we can expedite that course offering!
